The Dubai Design District project known as “D3” was launched in 2013 with the recommendations of His

Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may

and as part of From the Dubai Plan 2021, the neighborhood was established in an exceptional strategic area

opposite the Business Bay area and next to Downtown Dubai, which includes prominent and Arab tourism areas such

as the Burj Khalifa – the tallest skyscraper in the world – as well as the Dubai Mall, which is one of the largest and

best malls in Dubai, to achieve its goals that are summed up to attract Major international fashion houses and

houses, reviving ideas, creating a spirit of inspiration and enriching talents in the region, as well as involving and

supporting local, regional and international talents in the field of design.

Stemming from the belief of “Tecom Investments”, a member of “Dubai Holding Company”, in the extent of the

the operations of the Dubai Design District from its main office in the neighborhood located in Building No. 3,

and many government agencies moved their offices to Dubai Design District, such as the offices of Dubai Smart

interior decoration engineering and graphic design, to bring together workers and enthusiasts in the wide fields

of design and to witness free programs and events that vary between exhibitions, installation works and

temporary stores, and it should be noted that Dubai Design Week It attracts art enthusiasts annually, as it received more than 75,000 visitors in 2018.

according to three phases, the first of which ended in 2015 and included many offices and showrooms and more

than 200,000 square feet dedicated to shops, in addition to 11 buildings that include 100 shops and 1,000 offices.

the field of architecture – and included a group of design workshops, galleries and exhibitions, while the third

phase included a park with a walking track overlooking the new waterfront on the Dubai Creek, hotels and many entertainment facilities.

 

Dubai Design District includes hundreds of international companies and fashion houses, which vary between

companies that have a business license because they are affiliated with a free zone.

Many companies have also taken headquarters from the region to manage their operations, such as the Bayut

company located in Building 3, which occupies the fifth and seventh floors. From it, in addition to the exhibition

of the world-famous artist “Van Gogh” and another exhibition of the international photographer “Mario Testino”,

in addition to one of the best marketing and commercial advertising companies in Dubai, which is the “Yellow

Branding & Digital Consultancy” agency specialized in e-marketing, promotional campaigns and street
